The Battleground provides a safe place where youth, ages 13–20, are able to receive professional instruction in songwriting, rapping, recording, beat production, legal graffiti art, DJing, and hip-hop dance. Using these elements of hip-hop, we develop relationships with our youth where Christ can be exhibited and communicated in very real, tangible ways.

We place a very strong emphasis on cultural awareness. We want our students to be able to learn about and appreciate cultural experiences and practices different from their own. It is important to us that our students gain the skills they need to positively express themselves and communicate effectively to ensure the highest probability of success in their lives.
